- The solar park installed at Brenntag’s Querétaro site is the group’s largest in Latin America and one of the ten largest globally, generating a total of 393 MWh/a with 441 solar panels
- This initiative will reduce CO2 emission by approx. 167 tons, which is equivalent to the reforestation of around 2,750 trees, and will be sufficient to cover the site’s own energy demand
“Investments in renewable energies at our sites such as this one in Mexico are a proof point for our commitment to sustainability and clean energy. With this project, we are moving firmly towards our vision of Future Sustainable Brenntag and our emission saving target. Congratulations to the Mexican and Latin American team for realizing this future-oriented, sustainable project,” said Christian Kohlpaintner, CEO Brenntag SE, who was present at the ceremonial opening of the facility.
