Your Partner in Compliance

The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) was founded in 1913 and since then it has forged a legacy as one of Canada’s oldest trade associations advocating for the interests of the paint and coatings industry. With over a century of regulatory experience, CPCA has fostered trust with association members and respect from all levels of government.

Today, the coatings industry is one of the most heavily regulated sectors in Canada’s economy. CPCA’s mandate is to advocate for fair regulatory development that is evidence-based, rooted in science, and takes into consideration impacts on industry, the environment, and the economy.

CPCA’s team of regulatory and chemical experts understand how policy, regulations, and industry are intricately connected, providing proactive approaches to legislative and regulatory development on critical issues such as:

CPCA’s hands-on advocacy work addresses these issues so members can focus on what they do best — formulate CASE products that meet or exceed the highest regulatory and production standards in Canada. CPCA promotes regulatory compliance in Canada while ensuring new regulations are fair and evidenced-based.

CPCA cannot achieve better regulatory outcomes that help sustain and grow the CASE industry in Canada without strong support from the industry: manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.

The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association advocates for a strong, stable, and sustainable CASE Industry.
