Florida-based millionaire Kris Singh has posted plans to coat a $2.5 million Pagani Utopia in a unique paint derived from crushed moon rocks. This announcement comes after a failed attempt to create a similar bespoke finish on a custom Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Singh, a noted car collector, had initially collaborated with Aston Martin to develop a “Karosserie Lunar Red” paint for his Valkyrie, incorporating actual moon dust. Despite the hype surrounding this ambitious project, it was ultimately shelved due to a series of setbacks at Aston Martin, including changes in ownership and the end of their partnership with Red Bull Racing. Singh expressed his disappointment publicly.
Turning a new leaf, Singh has now partnered with Italian supercar maker Pagani, expressing his trust in the brand’s innovative spirit under the leadership of Horacio Pagani. The paint, which is to be developed by Pennsylvania-based Karosserie, is described as an “epic new color never seen before.”
