The Great Lakes Coatings Conference (GLCC) will make its inaugural debut June 10-12 at the University of Michigan Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Great Lakes Coatings Conference is a new biennial event based in the Midwest and led by Coatings Associations in the region.
“There are four main associations: the Cleveland Coatings Society, Detroit Society for Coatings Technology, Chicago Society for Coatings Technology and the Chicago Paint and Coatings Association,” said Amanda Andrews, Wanhua Chemical (America) – Business Director, CASE and President of GLCC. We also wanted to keep some of the smaller societies active by supporting them; like Wisconsin Paint and Coatings Association and Pittsburgh Society for Coatings Technology.
Then incorporate the marketing support from other regional associations like Canadian Paint and Coatings Association, and Northwestern Society for Coatings Technology.”
GLCC is seeking abstract submissions from industry, government, academia and consultants for educational and technical presentations. These presentations should focus on new product developments, innovative technologies and advancements in product or process enhancements that promote development in architectural, industrial and specialty coatings. The organizers noted that priority may be given to abstracts focused on sustainability.
